D1928 is a family saga made in Nice.
1928 is the year the family business was founded. It was also the birth year of Denise Porchet, Olivia Seitz's grandmother. Her husband, Jean, developed the family pearl trading business created by his father and became one of the leaders in the cultured pearl market.
Their three children, including Christine, soon joined them to expand and diversify the business.
In 2022, Olivia decided to write a new chapter in the family story with her mother, Christine. Convinced that pearls have more to offer than the market allows, Olivia wanted to modernize this family jewel: the pearl. Working with cultured pearls for four generations, the D1928 brand benefits from the finest expertise in this field. The modernist lines give the piece a strong personality. The "signature hoop" highlights each piece with a line of gold, diamonds, sapphires, or emeralds set in the purest jewelry tradition.
From the design to the wax molds, through production and assembly, all D1928 pieces are handcrafted in our Nice workshops. Our vision of luxury is a blend of calm and inspiration. A French way of life, of course, but particularly that of the French Riviera. Strolling along the coast, inhaling the scents of the hinterland, visiting artists' studios and foundations. Drowning in the blue of Matisse. Rising to the surface at the foot of Eileen Grey's villa.
