ELIE TOP
Contemporary French jewellery
Offering the unexpected to create enchantment. This is the credo of Maison Elie Top, the main reason behind its creator’s passion for design. His jewellery creates hybrid universes combining complementary techniques and materials. His inspirations are sourced at the crossroads between styles and eras. He designs unique pieces and signature collections for a contemporary French jeweller.

Of Flemish origin, Elie Top was passionate about drawing from a very young age. It was through the world of fashion that he was introduced to the world of jewellery.
He left his native home in the north of France at the age of 17 to pursue his studies in Paris at the Ecoles de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. In between, at the age of 19, he worked at Yves Saint Laurent, where he made the decisive encounters that would determine his vocation, forge his taste and shape his work approach.
He worked alongside Yves Saint Laurent himself of course, whose rigour, high standards and integrity he retains, as well as designer Loulou de la Falaise, once a master of daring and casual aristocratic mixtures, and finally Alber Elbaz, who possesses insatiable creativity and who was called to succeed the master, entrusted Elie with the creation of his first jewellery pieces at the young age of 21.
From there was born a collaboration that continued at Lanvin for over ten years: here “couture jewellery” reigned and was finally brought up to date, displaying its exuberance and its relevance, season after season.
Elie Top introduced its first collection in January 2015, Mécanique Célestes, featuring unique bold pieces with a futuristic geometrical shape. Today, the brand has expanded to become one of the most distinctive and acclaimed jewellery designers in Paris.
