As far as I remember, I’ve always wanted to become a stylist. At primary school I was already drawing my mother’s outfits. Then after high school I obviously chose a creative path and entered the superior school of « Les Arts Décoratifs » in Paris.
It is not a taste fort luxury that made me want to create Van Den Abeele. I decided to launch this new brand because I need something that made more sense, something to be transmitted. Van Den Abeele is my husband’s and daughters’ name. Then I designed pieces to offer them my passion and to the future generations also. jewellery is also represents of this craftsmanship I’ve always been mad about.
I am naturally curious, so I’m learning with huge eagerness about jewellery. The way a shining and sumptuous piece takes form after an amazing and meticulous work, the crafting of gold and the brightness of precious stones, combined with my everlasting colorful extravagance.
I need to break free from codes and contrasts, to be free, I don’t want to follow trends, I need to set the pace, and preferably in a colorful way !
I love the idea of shaking the academic Parisian savoir-faire with an audacious costume-jewellery touch/spirit…I think you can find perfection halfway between classic and eccentricity. So this project is a luxury paradox which combines enamel and the colors of the sun.
