CAPDECO
At Capdeco we manufacture table cutlery assembled by hand in our factory in Thiers, the French capital of cutlery. Our products mostly feature coloured acrylic and wooden handles.
The Froment family entered the cutlery industry in 1963, when Camille Froment founded a small workshop in Thiers, France. Originally, the company was a subcontractor for cutlery makers in the region, providing polishing and sharpening services. Wishing to capitalise on his experience, Philippe Froment, son of Camille, created the company Capdeco in 2002, with the aim of developing and manufacturing products that perpetuate the cutlery tradition by introducing a modern design and style. Edouard Froment, third generation, began managing the business in 2014 and continues to do so today.
Capdeco cutlery, in both classic and contemporary style, is created from end-to-end with the same care and 18/10 stainless steel, whether they are entry-level or high-end. Hand assembled, as in the past, in the company workshops in Thiers. Great care is taken at every step of the manufacturing process to ensure the durability of each piece. Our cutlery is mostly made with coloured acrylic handles and wooden handles such as olive wood, boxwood or ebony. We also offer fine gold finishes and tailor-made series at the request of our customers. The quality of Capdeco cutlery enables daily use with no risk of losing brightness or shine, and is dishwasher safe.
