French tableware takes centre stage at Paris Design Week 2026

Every September, Paris becomes the unmissable hub for contemporary creativity. Running alongside the Maison&Objet trade fair, Paris Design Week transforms the capital into a vast showcase dedicated to design, where galleries, workshops, showrooms and design houses unveil their latest creations.

To mark the occasion, Francéclat invites you to visit the showrooms of some of France’s leading tableware brands and discover another facet of French design: one that turns dining into a true art of living. Blending heritage, innovation and contemporary creation, this tour through the heart of Paris celebrates exceptional craftsmanship that continues to inspire interiors around the world.

Each showroom offers a different interpretation of the art of hospitality: some revisit iconic interiors, whilst others explore new materials, collaborate with designers or artists, or create collections that respond to new ways of living and socialising.

This diversity illustrates the major trends currently shaping interior design. Natural materials, local production, the longevity of objects, the personalisation of spaces and the interplay between craftsmanship and innovation are emerging as key aspirations. French tableware brands are responding to these trends by combining excellence in craftsmanship, creativity and a commitment to quality.

More than just a tour of Paris, these visits are an invitation to discover French creativity in motion, remaining true to its heritage whilst looking resolutely towards the future. They bear witness to the ability of French brands to reinvent the codes of the art of hospitality and to create a dialogue between heritage, innovation and emotion.

Maison & Objet trade fair

Running alongside Paris Design Week, the Maison & Objet trade fair takes place in Villepinte from 10 to 14 September, with numerous French tableware brands in attendance (see list below).

A highlight of this year’s fair: Les Rendez-vous Cook&Share by La filière France.

The Confédération des Arts de la Table and industry associations from the homeware sector are coming together in a 90 m² space at the heart of Hall 4, Cook & Share, to welcome trade visitors, host conferences and run demonstration workshops.

"Les Rendez-vous Cook&Share by La filière France" is a shared space within the trade fair. It brings together trade organisations, federations, partners, manufacturers, distributors, brands and lifestyle experts – a space designed for visitors to relax, exchange ideas, listen and discover practical topics relevant to businesses in the sector, as well as new brands.

Impulse by Emergence forms an integral part of this Cook & Share space. Design, materials, use, manufacturing, craftsmanship: Impulse by Emergence showcases young French brands that are redefining the codes of lifestyle. For buyers, this space offers an opportunity to spot new brands, discover distinctive styles and initiate future collaborations.

This year, you’ll be able to discover four tableware brands there:

- Volca plates
- Delissea mugs
- L’Atelier Rosie knives
- Lepage knives
