MONTGOLFIER
Each plate is testament to the workmanship produced in our workshop in the Loire Valley of France. Our pioneering techniques in glazing lead to the creation of pieces that offer nobility, warmth and durability. Our plates grace the tables of high-end hospitality professionals.
From shaping the clay to applying the glaze and firing the pieces, this is the art of Montgolfier since 1947. We use thin white clay which is complex to shape, but very resistant. Our glazes are developed by our team and hand-applied, sometimes double layered, giving our pieces their unique and singular touch.
Each plate is testament to the workmanship present in our workshop in the Loire Valley of France. We are a certified Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant - EPV) and a member of “Ateliers d’Art de France”. Our pioneering techniques in the use of satin and matt glazes enable us to create pieces that embody nobility, warmth and sensuality. For this reason, our plates and accessories grace the tables of high-end hospitality professionals throughout the world as they put their trust in us to supply them with very high quality made-to-last plates and table accessories which generate emotional value for their guests. Our sustainable, traditional methods and small-scale production of pieces that will serve you for a long time fit well with our environmentally-friendly approach.
