From shaping the clay to applying the glaze and firing the pieces, this is the art of Montgolfier since 1947. We use thin white clay which is complex to shape, but very resistant. Our glazes are developed by our team and hand-applied, sometimes double layered, giving our pieces their unique and singular touch.
Each plate is testament to the workmanship present in our workshop in the Loire Valley of France. We are a certified Living Heritage Company (Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant - EPV) and a member of “Ateliers d’Art de France”. Our pioneering techniques in the use of satin and matt glazes enable us to create pieces that embody nobility, warmth and sensuality.
