5 OCTOBRE is a singular fine jewellery house founded in 2005 by Sophie Pfeffer.
Within her Gallery at 31 rue de Seine, in Paris, she presents her compositions set with precious stones and antique fragments — one-of-a-kind pieces displayed in a space where her artistic soul comes to life.

The beauty of gemstones and an attention to detail have moved Sophie Pfeffer since childhood. Steeped in fashion, design, and art, her creative instinct catches up with her: she leaves behind her lawyer's robes, and in 2005, 5 OCTOBRE is born — named after her birthday — a house that begins with the intimate and reaches outward to others.
To create, Sophie sketches, choosing each stone, each antique element. The expression stays constant and minimal: the gems are finely set in gold, revealing only the subtlety of their hues, the brilliance of the stone. Fragments of the past emerge with poetry: ancient coins, 19th-century intaglios come together joyfully with coloured gemstones and diamonds of singular cuts. "All my work is deeply rooted in the concept of wabi-sabi, the pursuit of harmony and balance, the patina, the gesture one can only sense." These one-of-a-kind creations weave a thread between past and present.
The GALLERY opened its doors at 31 rue de Seine, in Paris, in 2019. An address rich with a singular heritage, once a haunt of the Surrealists, André Breton's gallery between 1937 and 1938. Sophie preserves the artistic soul of the space: limewashed walls, Saarinen furniture, an antique display case where unique pieces reveal themselves as in a cabinet of curiosities. On the wall, a large canvas by Claude Viallat greets visitors. The atmosphere is intimate and warm, conducive to beautiful discoveries.
