Founded in Nice in 1980 by Pascale and Enzo Amaddeo, Les Néréides offers unique creations of Fine Fashion jewellery. A true French family business, it owes its name to Pascale's grandfather, a friend of the famous painter Magritte. Nereids are goddesses from Greek mythology. The 50 daughters of the God Nereus (the old man of the sea) have the marvellous ability to constantly reinvent themselves... which is what the designer couple has always done.
The history of the House could not be written without that of their family of four children, all of whom are now involved in the life of the House. Today, this second generation of born designers is taking over from their talented parents. At the head of the Artistic Direction of Les Néréides, Pier Paolo Amaddeo perpetuates a feminine and sophisticated style where colours and poetic symbols have pride of place. His sister Bianca Amaddeo, who manages the visual identity, has developed a boutique concept where many plants flourish in an elegantly refined setting.
Feminine and sophisticated, timeless and inspired by nature, Les Néréides offers a unique range of accessible luxury jewellery. As well as being a French brand with an international vocation, Les Néréides also has a genuine social commitment.
In 2015, Pascale and Enzo Amaddeo created the Les Néréides Loves Animals foundation. Each season, 15% of the revenue from two special collections are donated to shelters and associations rigorously chosen for their commitment to the animal cause.
