Founded in 1902 by Blaise Dozorme, nicknamed “The Wolf”, the Claude Dozorme brand is the signature of a long family tradition in the knife making world, based on a passion for luxurious craftsmanship. It proposes very high-end knives for several worlds, including Table, Kitchen, Outdoors with pocket folding knives but also for Wine service with Sommelier tools and champagne sabres.
Established in Thiers since its creation, the French capital of cutlery with six centuries of know-how, Claude Dozorme combines French know-how and craftsmanship to produce original and daring knives. It has always placed innovation at its heart, becoming a real pioneer both for its range of products and its manufacturing techniques. Although new products are strongly influenced by new technologies and modern design methods, respect for traditions and cutlery expertise remains. After rigorous selection of the best materials and using complete and modern industrial systems (laser cutting and numerical control grinding), all parts are made and assembled in our workshops, guaranteeing 100% French production.
Multiple steps, performed by our men and women enable us to produce knives with an irreproachable finish and quality. The company has been recognised for its expertise, receiving prestigious certification as “French living heritage” company from the French Government.
To sell its products, Claude Dozorme relies on a network of specialised retailers and department stores in around fifty countries. Backed by constantly renewed passion and the skills of its craftsmen, Claude Dozorme continues its development by using the recipe that has generated success for decades.
