J.L Coquet
As we near the brand’s two hundredth anniversary, the translucent whiteness of the material, the brilliance of the golds, the contrast of the colours and the finesse of the engravings remain the sign of distinction of the J.L Coquet collections. J.L. Coquet porcelain is the result of an alchemy between water, earth and the know-how of craftsmen. Our porcelain is distinguished by its whiteness, which has been its symbol for many years. It is recognised as one of the whitest, most translucent and delicate in the world. The production of a piece may require up to twenty handling operations, during which advanced techniques and know-how are closely linked. Using a unique engraving technique, the gold, platinum, or other precious metal inlays highlight the designs of our products while ensuring their irreversibility. This technique gives the colours and patterns a unique relief to enhance each of our pieces.
Jaune de Chrome
Working with Jaune de Chrome enamels is a different, exclusive process, making the products absolutely remarkable. It consists of meticulously applying an alloy of enamels and metallic components to the porcelain to create a surprising effect. This technique requires great skill and a long training period so that each of our craftsmen can ensure perfect mastery of the decoration process. Even if the technique is advanced, the process remains a handicraft. Each piece has a unique dimension, with slight variations in the decoration during the firing process. Backed by this experience and recognised by the greatest chefs, our porcelain represents the French art of living and contributes to the influence of “made in France” know-how throughout the world.
